Lindsay Maddox was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. A true Washingtonian down to her core, Lindsay is addicted to Starbucks and can be found inside on rainy days sipping a caramel macchiato.
Lindsay has had a zeal for writing from a young age. As a child, she would often be found with her nose buried in a book or writing in her journal. Often, she would put together plays and puppet shows with her friends and her brother. These childhood games turned into a lifelong love of writing and creativity.
At the age of 21, Lindsay graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Business and Marketing. Though this was an interesting subject to her, it wasn't her true passion and she has yet to pursue any sort of Marketing career.
In 2005, Lindsay and her husband welcomed their first child into their lives. The addition of this little man inspired Lindsay to pick up writing by producing blogs. Two years later, their daughter joined their silly little brood, furthering Lindsay's writing inspiration. As if those two weren't inspiration enough, Lindsay and her husband welcomed twin boys in 2009.
April 2008 was the beginning of what would become an exciting journey to a freelance writing career. Lindsay Maddox joined
Associated Content, where she produced her first (and now that she looks back at it, poorly written) article on Creating a Mother's Day Time Capsule.
Soon after, Lindsay discovered the
Accentuate Writer's Forum where she joined the ranks of freelance writers who support and encourage each other on their writing journeys. In November 2008, she won first place in the Accentuate Anthology short contest, and simply took off from there, winning several more contests and seeing her name in print alongside her fellow writer friends.
Lindsay continues to push herself as a freelance writer, while maintaining focus on her family and friends. She is currently working on a novel for young adults and hopes to complete the manuscript in 2010.
